Brothers and Sisters,

I want to thank all of our alumni for your continued support of the chapter during this time. If there was ever a time Alpha Zeta needed your support, that time is now. Whatever you’re able to give to the chapter, your contribution is greatly appreciated. One thing is certain: our current volunteers can’t combat this alone.

Our giving year began on September 1, 2020, and we need to make this year our strongest one yet. We need everyone in the Alpha Zeta family to participate. Why should you give? As you may know, we lost a significant amount of undergraduate rental income since Penn State has gone remote for much of the past year. In-house occupancy is still negatively impacted by the virtual learning environment and there is little change in sight for the balance of 2021. We are committed to maintaining the chapter residence and have executed chimney repairs ($7,000), roof/porch repairs outside of Suite 6 ($6,000) in the past year. As the Morrill Chapter mansion continues to age, we’re asking for your help to make it flourish. Several large items still remain unfunded:

• Repainting the house exterior - $35,000

• French door replacement in dining and living rooms - $30,000

• Bathroom Remodeling (First & Second Floor) – Cost TBD

We all need to step up as alumni to help keep the chapter strong, perpetuating Alpha Zeta for future generations of Morrill men and women at PSU. We all know firsthand how important having a home base is for a successful chapter, and we want our home to stay functional and beautiful so we can be competitive during recruitment.

So I’m asking for your help. Be a leader for your class. Be the first one from your grad year to pay your dues and add your name to the Honor Roll of Donors. Be the alum who calls the members you knew at the house to give as well. Be the one to upgrade your original donation to the next giving level. Morrill Chapter relies on our support. Don’t miss the chance to give back to the organization that defined our Penn State experience. Thanks to the alumni listed on the Honor Roll of Donors for proving their lifelong loyalty through their support. CLICK HERE to add your name to the Honor Roll today. I know I can count on you this year.
