Morrill Chapter of Alpha Zeta was established in 1898 at Pennsylvania State as a co-ed fraternity comprised of agriculture students.

Alpha Zeta was founded by Charles Burkett, John Cunningham, and ten other agriculture students.  

The Alpha Zeta flower is Pink Carnation.


The most famous alumni from Alpha Zeta are:

  • Arthur Rose Eldred, Agriculturalist, first Eagle Scout recognized by the Boy Scouts of America
  • Henry C. Wallace, Former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture
  • Lester Brown, Founder of the Earth Policy Institute
  • Dwight D. Eisenhower, Former U.S. President
